Yerba Mate - About Mate del Sol
How to prepare Yerba Mate
Adding according to your taste
With all of the below methods of preparations, you may add honey, burnt sugar, molasses or your favourite sweetener, if desired. A slice of lemon, mint or a splash of fruit juice may also be added for a delicious alternative.
For Latte - Brew as per any of the below methods, add milk or soy milk with sweetener of choice. Top with frothed milk.
For Iced Mate - Infuse with iced water for at least three minutes (longer for a stronger cup). Add honey or your favourite sweetener for a refreshing and energising cold drink! If you prefer a fruitier flavour, add a splash of your favourite fruit juice.
Infusion Methods
Teabag
Teabags are the most convenient method of preparing Yerba Mate. You use one teabag per cup. Infuse in hot (not boiling) water for at least three minutes. For a stronger cup, allow to infuse for longer, to taste.
